Show Notes: In the last 2 years , I’ve lost 160 lbs. With the help of Mounjaro since August 2023 along with the eating healthier and walking. I did some strength training but not enough. I’m catching up now. I had gastric bypass 24 years ago and regained after five years had a revision to make my pouch smaller, which only allowed about 50 more pounds to off. I spent about 14 years being obese again around the 290 to 310 pounds and when I started my journey on December 21, 2022, I was 313 pounds. As of February 2025, I’ve been on Mounjaro maintenance since October 2024, I titrated down from 10 mg to 7.5 in Oct. 2024, then in mid December, after 2 months of being in 7.5 , I was still losing 10 lbs so I went down to 5 mg. I’m on the 2nd month of 5 mg My why was my teen grandson Zayden, who was recently diagnosed with leukemia and I was spending time with him at the hospital and we had a serious talk about his concerns on my longevity and the inability to walk long distances. His doctor even told me that I should be walking too.
