If the scepticism of the sharks is a sign of things to come, entrepreneurs hoping to resurrect this diet might be setting the bar too high. Many of the clinical studies evaluating the ketogenic diet for weight loss are of poor quality and/or short duration (often lasting less than 12 weeks) and are built on statistically questionable data.
