1. How much time in advance should I show up at the bus terminal?

For national bus trips, it is necessary to arrive half an hour before the bus departure. For trips to bordering / international trips, an hour in advance.

2. What kind of documentation should I provide to the bus driver?

Your ID and printed bus ticket.

3. What kind of documentation is required for an international bus trip?

In this particular case, a difference can be made between the passengers of Argentine nationality and foreigners. Argentines over the age of 18, must present ID and Passport. Argentineans under the age of 18, if they travel alone, must present a passport, along with the parental authorization (original and photocopy), duly accredited before a Public Notary or Justice of the Peace. If traveling with their parents, the minors must present either an ID showing the name of their parents, or passport, or the Birth Certificate or Family Book.

If the passenger is from another country, instead, if you are from Brazil, Uruguay, Chile or Paraguay, you must only present updated Passports or Visa and Tourist Visa. If you are from Peru, Bolivia, Colombia or Ecuador, you must present an updated passport, Tourist Visa and yellow fever vaccination certificate.

Bus passengers from the United States, Canada and Mexico, must present, updated passports, Tourist Visa and the "Visa consular of Brazil", if they go to that country. If they are passengers from Europe, they must show an updated passport and the Tourist Visa.

Important: All this documentation must be legible, original and updated.

4. What is the free baggage weight allowance for travelling by bus?

With your bus ticket, it is possible to carry a handbag, and a package that does not exceed 15 kg (33.0693 lb). When the transported baggage exceeds the established limit, the passenger will have to pay the amounts corresponding to excess baggage, that are governed by the values of parcel services of the transport company. 5. Where can I check the departure platform, if it's not specified in my bus ticket?

It is advisable to ask at the reports office of the departure bus terminal, go to the box office of the corresponding company, or just call our Customer Service (0810-122-1122).

6. What should I do if I lose my bus ticket?

In case of loss or misplacement of the bus ticket, you must communicate as far ahead as possible with the company, ticket office, or agency where you purchased your bus ticket, to follow recommended procedures.

7. Can I return my bus ticket?

If you decide not to make the trip, you will be refunded a portion of the rate, depending upon the time frame with which you returned the ticket:

If the bus ticket is returned within 24 hours to 1 hour before the departure of the vehicle, 70% of the payment amount will be refunded.

If the bus ticket is returned within 48 hours to 24 hours before the departure of the vehicle, 80% of the payment amount will be refunded.

If the bus ticket is returned within more than 48 hours before the departure of the vehicle, 90% of the payment amount will be refunded.

8. Can I buy bus tickets with student discount?

Yes. Bus tickets with a 20% student discount, can only be purchased at the bus terminals. In the case of university or tertiary students, there is no stretch restriction, whereas for teachers and secondary students, the discount will only be granted in the stretch from the city where the students or teachers live, to the educational institution they attend.

9. How can I buy the bus tickets with student discount?

The identity must be proved, by presenting an ID, together with the regular student certificate and the current booklet issued by the educational establishment to which he / she attends. In the case of teachers, they must present their salary bonus.

10. What kind of documentation should I provide to travel by bus with medication and/or food?

Any type of doubt related to sanitary, edible and related matters, must be made with border health or organisms related to those questions. It is not a responsibility of the National Directorate of Migration.

11. Where should I confirm my open bus ticket?

The date of travel of an open bus ticket must be confirmed at a bus terminal.

12. Can I travel with my pets?

No, due to hygiene and safety regulations, it is forbidden to transport animals on the bus.

13. Do minors pay for the bus ticket?

Children under 5 years old (who prove their age by presenting ID) do not pay for the passage. They DO HAVE TO pay for insurance, but they do not have the right to occupy a seat, nor to claim for on-board service.

14. How much minors can travel with an adult without paying for the ticket?

It is advisable to travel only one child per adult, estimating that you can enjoy the trip pleasantly and without causing any trouble to the passenger who is in the adjacent seat.

15. What documentation should I provide to travel with minors?

Any minor up to and including 17 (seventeen) years old, traveling without the company of an adult (parent, guardian)

17. If my pass says "with companion", can I travel alone?

If the disability certificate expresses specifically "with companion", a place (ticket for the disabled and his companion) must be granted. This means that you will not be able to travel alone.

If the pass does not express "with accompanying person", only one ticket must be given to the requesting disabled person.

18. How much time in advance should I request the ticket?
